This event is for members and their guests only due to limited seating. Join us at the Sanford Elks lodge to create a mixed media home portrait on 11x14" canvas with step-by-step instruction while enjoying beverages with friends. No experience necessary. Mixed media art includes a combination of paper collage along with mod podge, paint and paint pens. The mixed media home portrait you see here is an example. Yours will be unique based on the colors, papers, and embellishments you choose for your work of art. All supplies are included. Beverages and food sold separately. Just use your phone or camera to snap a photo of the exterior of your home (instructions will be sent to you once you register), and we'll supply the rest. Advance registration by Tuesday, March 19 is required. Be sure to sign up early, so we have time to make a copy of your home image for you to use in your collage. A minimum of ten guests and maximum of thirty guests for this class. $40/person. We use PayPal to process our payments. Simply click on the payment link above to register. You do not need a PayPal account to sign in. Just select "use debit or credit card" when prompted. Event starts at 6:30pm. Allow up to 2 hours to finish. Please bring a smock or wear something for crafting - aprons are not provided for this event. Please plan to arrive a bit early to settle in.
OurRefund/Cancellation Policy
We understand that unexpected things come up at the last moment but as a small business, we have to be firm about our refund policy for our painting classes. At Sociable Art, full refunds are available up to 14 days prior to the date of the event, after that a credit towards a future class will be offered if you are unable to attend as long as the request is made more than 48 hours before the start of the event. We have a good reason for this. A lot of preparation goes into Sociable Art events behind the scenes prior to the actual date of the event including pre-sketching of your canvas in many cases and ordering of specific supplies. It is important for us to know exactly how many guests are attending. Our venues also base staffing on our guest totals, so we need to be accurate in advance. Also, if the class is sold out and you cancel at the last minute, we won't have the opportunity to refill your seat. This is a small, independently owned business and each registration counts. I hope you understand the reasoning behind our policy. Also, If we have fewer registrations than our required minimum for a venue, we reserve the right to cancel with 48 hours notice and issue full refunds to those already registered. Should an event need to be cancelled due to weather conditions or other natural events outside of our control which pose safety/travel concerns, Sociable Art will offer a rescheduled date of the cancelled event. Registrations for events cancelled due to circumstances outside of our control will not be refunded, but can be transferred to the rescheduled date.
